Christmas in the Village
December 1, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm , December 2, 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Spruce Forest Artisan Village in Grantsville is home to this local favorite. Hear live music in the Village Church, tour Village buildings and visit with artisans, make crafts with the kids, and see glowing luminaries throughout the Village paths and over the Casselman River Bridge.
A Great Small Town Christmas
December 8-9, Oakland
A Great Small Town Christmas kicks off with a walking holiday light parade led by Santa followed by the tree lighting ceremony on Friday, December 8 at the B&O Museum. There will also be sleigh rides, carols, store specials, and a special treat from Santa! Saturday the fun continues with Soup N’ Santa! Area non-profits will hand out free soup (donations are encouraged), visit with Santa, free sleigh rides, live music, and local shopping.
Holiday Open House
December 2, 11AM-1PM
Bring the kids for cookies, crafts, and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Deep Creek Lake Discovery Center.
Joy of Christmas Light Show
November 24-January 1, 5-10PM Nightly
Watch more than 40,000 lights dance to music. You can listen outdoors or with your vehicle’s radio.
Holiday Lights at Broadford Park
November 30-December 23, Thursday-Sunday, 6PM
Drive through the park to see holiday light displays. Money raised on the first night will benefits Southern Garrett High School organizations. Cost is $10 per car.
Santa’s Workshop at Deep Creek Pottery
December 3, 1-4PM
Kids and adults can make their own presents including clay projects, paintable pottery, and mosaics. There will even be a visit from Santa!
Dutch’s Ugly Sweater Party
December 1, 6PM
Don your favorite ugly sweater and head to Dutch’s at Silver Tree for Tito’s drink specials and a DJ.
Jolly Holiday Open House
December 9, 10AM-4PM
Deep Creek Lavender Farm is your host for this festive event with music, raffles, sales and more.
