Deep Creek Lake Spring Activities

Deep Creek Lake spring activities include many ways to enjoy the outdoors as the weather warms up. If Mother Nature isn’t cooperating, there are plenty of indoor options too. We put together a list highlighting some favorite things to do at Deep Creek Lake during the spring months.

It is a good idea to check the hours of operation before heading out. Some activities are only available on the weekend.

State Park Activities
Garrett County is home to ten state parks. They have playgrounds, fishing, picnic areas, and miles of trails for hiking and biking. They are open daily throughout the year. If you are looking for a dog friendly activity, pet restrictions are relaxed during the spring months.

Popular State Parks Include:

Swallow Falls State Park – Hike to three stunning waterfalls.

Deep Creek Lake State Park – Fishing, 20 miles of hiking/biking trails, picnic tables, and three playgrounds.

Herrington Manor State Park – 12 miles of hiking/biking trails, picnic tables, and fishing. Closer to summer, kayak and canoe rentals are available.
