The Garrett County Celtic Festival is June 1, 2024! This popular, daylong event offers something for the entire family.
2024 Garrett County Celtic Festival
Held at the Friendsville Community Park, this year’s festival is Saturday, June 1st from 9:30AM until 6PM. It is a rain or shine event, and dogs are welcome on a leash. The park is located along the Youghiogheny River and also offers fishing access if you want to bring your gear.
Purchase tickets in advance or at the gate. The cost at the gate is $20 for adults, $10 for ages 11-18, and free for ages 10 and under.
Kicking-off the event at 9:45AM is the opening parade. Throughout the day, athletes will test their skills and endurance with traditional Highland games. At noon, the gathering features pipes and drums, the procession of clans, dancers, and living history units.

Tents are scattered all around the festival grounds with a variety of presentations including music, history, and dance. At the main stage, listen to the sounds of The Sean Heely Celtic Trio and Shanty Irish.
The Rainbow’s End Children’s Area offers all day craft stations with costumes, fairy gardens, face painting, contests, stories, and songs by visiting performers, and more.
Food vendors will also be on hand to keep you fueled up throughout the day.
