Whether you are looking for family-friendly fun like trick-or-treating, or prefer adults-only festivities with live music and costume contests, there is something for everyone. This year’s lineup of Halloween events is filled with thrills, treats, and plenty of photo-worthy moments. Here are some of the best happenings to help you make the most of this frightfully fun time of year.
Trick or Treat in the Town of Kitzmiller

Cindy’s Fund Fall Festival at Broadford Park

Annual Haunted Hike at New Germany State Park
Saturday, October 25th at 7PM
1.5-mile self-guided haunted hike. Bring a flashlight or headlamp to get to and from the trail safely. Stop by the Nature Center for s’mores and hot cocoa.
Wisp Resort’s Halloween Party
Saturday, October 25th at 5:30PM
There will be two Halloween costume parties: From 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM, the all ages Monster Mash with trick-or-treating, dancing, kids’ crafts, costume contests, games, and more! At 8:30 PM, Wisp After Dark begins with spooky drinks, an immersive lighting experience, a live DJ, costume contests, and more!

Harborween with a DJ, costume contest, and spooky drinks. All ages.

Disc or Treat Glow Round at The Glades at Meshach Run
Saturday, October 25th at 8PM
Costumes are encouraged for disc golf after dark. $10 cash donations are requested to participate benefitting The Deep Creek Lake Lion’s Club.
Deep Creek Pottery Kids’ Halloween Party
Sunday, October 26th, 1-5PM
A variety of projects to choose from that include Halloween themed projects like mosaic tile creations, paint pottery, or even a clay project. Spooky snacks, costume parade, music and party games, FREE crafts, and candy. $5 entry fee plus the cost of chosen projects.
Annual Trunk or Treat at the Garrett County Fairgrounds

Halloween at Brodak’s Plaza
Wednesday, October 29th

3rd Annual Pumpkin Palooza for Garrett Mentors

All ages are welcome to join the GCBR Networking Committee for an exciting evening of food, pumpkin carving, and painting. (Registration is appreciated.)
