Performing Arts Center at Garrett College
Completed last year, this state-of-the-art facility has a great line-up of events for 2023.
Espresso Alley
Deep Creek’s first drive-thru coffee shop is located at the junction of Rt. 42 and 219 in McHenry. Their wide variety of beverages includes frappe, espresso, coffee, cold brew, latte, Italian soda, smoothies and more.
18 Hole Course at Thousand Acres
In mid-May, Thousand Acres Golf Club celebrated the grand opening of their 18-Hole Championship Golf Course. Open to members and the public, the new back 9 offers picturesque scenery and challenging greens.
Caddyshack Bar & Grill
Located at the Oakland Golf Course, they offer daily food and drink specials, indoor and outdoor dining, and live entertainment on the weekend. Their taco Tuesday is a big hit (dine-in only) and Rolling Racks BBQ is there every Wednesday.
MoonShadow Cafe
Known for their lunch and dinner menus, MoonShadow recently opened a cafe serving Basecamp Coffee and a variety of baked goods.
Wildom Farm Store
Wildom Farm offers pasture raised chicken, forest raised pork, 100% grassfed beef & lamb, heritage breed turkey and pasture raised eggs. Their products are available at their new Farm Store, located on Sang Run Road in McHenry.
Bear Creek Coffee & Creamery
Formerly Huey’s Ice Cream, they now offer a wide variety of hot and cold blended drinks along with baked goods.
Fly Deep Creek
Take a helicopter sightseeing tour of the Deep Creek Lake and surrounding area.
Gilligan’s Island the Musical Experience
Wisp Resort hosts this 90-minute family-friendly musical experience at their mountaintop whitewater course. Late July through mid-August.
Big Funky Blues Fest
Get your tickets for this incredible event August 12 at the Garrett County Fairgrounds! Amazing music, local and regional artisans, fun activities for kids and adults, and great food are just a few of the highlights. Best of all, it benefits Camp Caring, a camp for local children with physical and cognitive disabilities.
