Garrett County Agriculture Fair
July 29-August 5
Always a favorite summer happening, the fair offers fun for the entire family. Rides, games, food, livestock exhibits, music, and track events are just a few of the ways the fair will keep you entertained.
Gilligan’s Island – The Musical Experience
July 27-August 20 (Wednesday-Sunday)
Get your tickets for this family-friendly musical experience at the white water course at Wisp Resort. It is based on the beloved sitcom – with a modern twist!

Big Funky Blues Fest
August 12, 10AM-9PM
Held at the fairgrounds, this special event features nine big name performers along with axe throwing, glass blowing, blacksmithing, a huge kid’s zone, and a food court! Best of all, if benefits Camp Caring.
42nd Annual Friendsville Days
August 18-20
Be there for the Flotilla Friday at 5:30PM, the parade at noon Saturday, or the community church service at 11AM Sunday. There will be lots activities and live music throughout the weekend.

2nd Annual Mountain Maryland Dragon Boat Festival (Broadford Park)
August 26, 9AM-4PM
Amateur teams of all skill levels will race dragon boats, competing for the championship title. Spectators will enjoy the excitement of the race, as well as food and artisan vendors, music, and kids activities. The race benefits the Dove Center.

Garrett County Wings and Wheels Fly-in
August 26, 9AM-3PM
In conjunction with the 12th Annual Garrett County Airport Cruise-in enjoy the displays of airplanes, cars, trucks, motorcycles and emergency vehicles. Plus, pilot seminars and food from Sweitzer’s BBQ. Admission is free!
Stage Wisp Free Summer Concert Series
July 5-August 30
Every Wednesday throughout the summer, enjoy outdoor music at Wisp Resort starting at 6:30PM.
Little Yough Summer Music Festival
July 7-September 1
See local and regional performers at the Mountain Fresh Pavilion in downtown Oakland every Friday at 7PM.

Deep Creek Lake Discovery Center Programs
Throughout the summer, the Discovery Center at Deep Creek Lake State Park hosts a variety of programs for all ages. They include guided hikes, fishing with a naturalist, crafts, and aviary tours.
Sang Run State Park Summer Programs
Hiking, crafting, and birding are just a few of the special summer programs on the schedule at Sang Run State Park.
Beginner/Gentle Yoga at Herrington Manor State Park
Every Tuesday, 5:30-6:30PM
Register for this free class that is held throughout the summer.
Yoga in the Lavender Fields
Every Thursday, 9-10AM
Enjoy the beautiful scenery for an hour of gentle/beginning yoga throughout the summer. Registration is required and bring your own mat or towel.

Mountain Fresh Spring Farmers Market
Every Wednesday and Saturday June through October, 10AM-1PM
Held at the pavilion off 2nd Street in Downtown Oakland by the town parking lot, local vendors offer farm fresh produce, baked goods, handmade crafts, and more.
Snakes and Salamanders Sunday Funday Guided Hike
Sundays throughout the summer, 1-3PM
Fun for all ages, All Earth Eco Tours leads guided hikes with snake and salamander encounters at the Friendsville Community Park. Reservations are required.
Birds of Prey Program Near Deep Creek Lake
Tuesdays throughout the summer, 10AM-Noon
Join All Earth Eco Tours at the Friendsville Community Park to see hawks, owls, and falcons in this two-hour, fun learning program. Reservations are required.
