Garrett County Celtic Festival
June 3, 9:30AM-6PM
Celebrating Celtic heritage, this family-friendly event is held at the Friendsville Community Park. Music, Highland games, Irish dancing, and great food are just a few of the highlights.

Bike-a-thon / Walk-a-thon for Fletcher Layne
June 10, Noon-2PM
Kitzmiller Volunteer Fire Department is sponsoring this event in honor of Fletcher Layne for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Deep Creek Lake Lions Club Boat Auction
June 10, 9AM
The annual auction of boats donated to the Deep Creek Lake Lions Club. Auction proceeds benefit the club’s Blind Skiers and Campers programs. Held at the Lion’s Club park at 1249 Bumble Bee Road.

Kick Off to Summer
June 10, Noon-4PM
Celebrate summer in downtown Oakland with a beer walk, cornhole tournament, kid’s activities, a car show, music, food, and more.

Beginner/Gentle Yoga at Herrington Manor State Park
Every Tuesday, 5:30-6:30PM
Register for this free class that is held throughout the summer.

Yoga in the Lavender Fields
Every Thursday, 9-10AM
Enjoy the beautiful scenery for an hour of gentle/beginning yoga throughout the summer. Registration is required and bring your own mat or towel.

Deep Creek Farmers Market
Every Friday through September 22, 3-6PM
Held at Garrett College, there are local food vendors, prepared food, family friendly events, and handmade crafts.

Mountain Fresh Spring Farmers Market
Every Wednesday and Saturday June through October, 10AM-1PM
Held at the pavilion off 2nd Street in Downtown Oakland by the town parking lot, local vendors offer farm fresh produce, baked goods, handmade crafts, and more.

Snakes and Salamanders Sunday Funday Guided Hike
Sundays throughout the summer, 1-3PM
Fun for all ages, All Earth Eco Tours leads guided hikes with snake and salamander encounters at the Friendsville Community Park. Reservations are required.

Birds of Prey Program Near Deep Creek Lake
Tuesdays throughout the summer, 10AM-Noon
Join All Earth Eco Tours at the Friendsville Community Park to see hawks, owls, and falcons in this two-hour, fun learning program. Reservations are required.

Maryland Symphony Orchestra
June 17, 7:30PM
Enjoy a night of music at the new Performing Arts Center at Garrett College.

Garrett County Gran Fondo
June 17
The Garrett County Gran Fondo has routes for recreational cyclists and professionals. There are five ride options including the 125 mile “Diabolical Double”, the 102 mile “Savage Century”, the 62 mile “Masochistic Metric”, and the 44 mile “Fabulous 44”.

Putt for Pets Golf Tournament

A fun day of golf at Thousand Acres Golf Club to support HART for Animals.

Grantsville Days
June 23-25
Celebrate the 45th Annual Grantsville Days! It starts with the Annual Fireman’s Parade followed by artists/vendors and food vendors in the town park. There will be tons of activities for the kids too.

Harriet Quimby Live!
June 30, 7PM
As an accomplished pilot, journalist, screenwriter, and advocate for women’s equality, Harriet Quimby’s contributions are brought to life by Sara Sincell in this theatrical performance at the Garrett College Performing Arts Center.
